Oreo Chocolate Chips Cookies – Recipe and Give Away!

Chunks of a cookie inside a cookie…tell me more.

Sometimes the same old chocolate chip cookie recipe can get boring. Sure, they’re tried and true and remind you a cozy days with grandma, but some days baking calls for a little adventure. This is when Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies swoop in to answer sweet tooth’s call.

Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 6 tablespoons white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 10-15 Oreo Cookies broken into pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream butter, and sugars until well combined. Add egg and vanilla until mixed well. Place flour, baking soda and salt into a large bowl, stir to combine. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients then stir in oreos and chocolate chips until just combined.

With a medium cookie scoop, scoop onto baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until cooked, but still soft. Do not over bake. Let cool on baking sheet for 3 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Today, I’ll send a package of these cookies to one person who leaves a comment before midnight. So go for it, comment and drool accordingly.

I’m totally making these with Halloween oreos and sending them to Josh while he is deployed! Thanks for the awesome idea!

    • That’s an awesome idea Dorothy! I have friends in the service and have sent these over and they ship really well and stay fresh. And using halloween oreos is fantastic. I’ve done mint oreos, chocolate oreos and peanut butter oreos – all with excellent results!

  2. I’m on the dark side – the cookies are delicious!

Ha ha! This recipe looks soooo goooood. I’m sorry that I cannot be more verbose. I think I’m going to get my little housewife to cook them for me. (That would be my sister. I didn’t actually go and get a little housewife. But I would recommend one to anybody.)

  3. I don’t know if I can read in the recipe…it’s dark in here, need cookies. 🙂

  4. I’ve seen a similar version where instead of breaking up the oreo you use cookie dough to wrap it completely, then bake. I think I would like your version better, just to disperse the yummy flavors a bit more. I’ll have to try this recipe!

  5. It’s chocolate on chocolate, just perfect for your uncle Don.

  6. Thanks a lot for applying some time to post “Oreo Chocolate Chips

Thanks a ton once again -Marta
